Lovely little cafe in a converted container. Positions halfway up mount Wellington its a great stop for bush walkers and drivers making their way to the top. Theres some shelter but mainly outdoor seating, nearby toilets and even some barbecues if you feel so motivated. Coffee was good, pies were great

I don't often write reviews but I feel compelled to go against the grain on this one. Lost Freight Cafe is probably the finest cafe on the mountain - nay, the world!The coffee is exceptional. The staff delightful. A wilderness setting in a class of its own. You can visit Mt Wellington, but without patronizing this whimsical establishment - you may as well just stay home.
After a blow on top of the hill Mt. Wellington, this is what you need!! Only a few parking spots, but well worth it! Welcome simple fare, good coffee, cheery smiles and an eclectic range of places to sit and enjoy your goodies!
Love this place. I spend so much time on the mountain and The Springs is better for beanbags and great coffee. Thanks!
