Worst fish and chips ever. Chips are oily and soggy. Dim sims taste horrible and fish was dry. Last time to this shop. Not as good as it use to be.

I'd have to agree with some of the reviews about the service. It costs absolutely nothing - nor is it a lot of effort - to simply smile and say "thank you". Particularly when I've smiled and said thank you on two separate occasions as a customer with nothing in return. Obvious, I would have thought, but perhaps I'm just too old fashioned. Great fish n chips but won't be back for a third time.It looks like I can't reply to the owner's response, so I'll extend my post here. First, thank you also for taking the time to reply. May I clarify that you are saying it costs 20% of my order (approx $7 last time I was in) for the attendant to reciprocate a smile and to say "thank you"? Normally I wouldn't bother leaving a review much less replying. However, we all have our bugbears and this reply has squarely piqued mine. It is about a larger issue of simple courtesy when dealing with each other. An "excuse me please" when squeezing past someone or a "thank you" when holding a door open. When did it become acceptable to say politeness costs, much less from a local business that I am giving my patronage to? As I mentioned, perhaps I'm just old fashioned but I would suggest that a simple smile will earn you a lot more than 20% in the long run. Best wishes for your business.
