Little Sam and the rest of the crew know me as Janna McCurdy. I am one of their earliest/oldest customers: from the beginning of the 80s, when I lived in Collingwood, till the present, a few suburbs away. I want to especially thank them today, Friday, 1 February 2019, for making sure that I got a new clutch installed in record time as they knew I was on my way to visit a friend in the country who had managed to break his collar bone when my car came to a halt on the Western Freeway. I arrived in style yesterday on the passenger seat of a tow truck and left my little Hyundai Getz in the crew's capable hands. They told me they would try very hard to get the new clutch in by today. Was promised by an older man (Sam?) on the phone a fixed service cost of between $200 and $250, saying that they would contact me during the day if they were going to add on extras.No phone call and upon pickup, the bill came to $370.The bald guys (his son?) simple, smirking response was well you can wait here while we take the parts we added on off.Before you book your car in, ask yourself if you want the same treatment.I certainly wont be returning.
Gave me a hard time after I brought in my vehicle for service at 10am after they told me to "bring it in some time in the morning" then complained that 10 was not early enough, then charged me an extra $200 for oil after I specifically asked them to talk to me first if there were going to be any additional cost above the general service so that I could tell them to go ahead or not. Seems like communication is not really their strong suit at Little Sam's, a shame, I won't be going back.
